- listen to the word in isolations and in a sentence (audio, no text)

- graph sounds (orthographic mapping) and heart word if applicable [explicit instruction from teacher required here based on scope and sequence]
- rewrite the word from memory
- read the word in a decodable sentence (x2)
- prompt to audibly use the word in a decodable sentence [with a partner]
- prompt to write the sentence generated [on bonus printable, white board, etc.]
